104 S. W. A St.
Davidson D-X

These photos show what was then the newly completed DX Super Station at the southwest corner of Central and Main. This was one of the finest gas stations in the state of Arkansas at that time. There had been rumors for several years that a station was going to be being built at this location. The grand opening was held June 3, 1950 for Ray Davidson's DX station.

This tire rack was located at Ray Davidson's D-X station in Bentonville, Arkansas. The tire rack would hold up to 100 tires. At night, instead of having to bring all the tires into the gas station, all you had to do was close and lock the display doors.  The station was located at 104 SW A St, due west of the Massey Hotel. At the grand opening, orchids were given to the ladies and toys to the children. The station opened at 6:30 a.m. each day and closed at 9 p.m.
