508 W. Central - Built in 1913 - Dave Peel House - This home was built and owned by David Walker Peel for his daughter, but Mr. Peel lived in the house for many years. The Peels owned the property until sometime in the 1940s. After that, it was owned by Mr. McKinney who also owned the funeral home. The undertaker, Jack Sparks, lived in the house for many years. The funeral home used the upstairs of the house for storage. In 1986, it was purchased and restored by Tom Morris. It is thought to be the first Craftsman or California Bungalow in Bentonville. The house has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places.
