603 W. Central - The Greer house was built in 1925. The home came as a kit house ordered from the Sears and Roebuck catalog for $800. The components of the house were brought to the purchaser's town by railroad car. This bungalow style of home was popular in the early 1900's to 1940's. This home was owned by Tater and Phyllis Black in the late 1950's and early 1960's. Recently the owner has added an additional 1600 square feet to the upper floor, showcasing the original period doors and pine ceilings.
